It seems Arcade Fire has already began working on their new album, which is slated to release sometime next time.
Arcade Fire's Will Butler had revealed, in an interview with NME last year, that the band has started working on the new album.
"We're all itching to play music together and start recording things," Butler said in September 2015. "We're basically in the demo and play together phase, and historically that's led to realising that, surprisingly, we're 30 percent into a record, so we'll see if that happens."
"It's a bit different this time because everyone's older and fatter and lazier, so it might take longer, but we're playing music together. Win and Regine got a place in New Orleans so I think we'll spend some time there, because why wouldn't you? But apart from that we're in the old HQ [in Montreal]."
"We're not terribly good at schedules and luckily we're in a position where no-one can ever tell us what to do, so it's good," he added.
In addition to the album, Arcade Fire is also reportedly gearing up for a world tour next year.
The Ghetto Biennale, an arts festival in Haiti, raised funds through Kickstarter to create a catalogue documenting its first four shows.
Interestingly, one of the listed prizes was a pair of VIP tickets to Arcade Fire's next world tour with an estimated delivery date of November 2017, according to Arcade Fire Tube.
"A £750 pledge gives a pair of VIP tickets to your chosen location on the next Arcade Fire world tour including meeting with the band at the after party. Estimated delivery: Nov. 2017," the Kickstarter page read.
Arcade Fire's 2017 World tour news hints that the band might even release their new album around the same time. When the band's last album "Reflektor" was released in October 2013, toured throughout 2014 for their album.
Arcade Fire is yet to announce anything about their new album as well as their world tour plans.
