Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are set to face each other on April 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dubbed as "Jones vs. Cormier 2" the former and the current lightweight champion will finally get to test each other's mettle in the octagon one more time.

It's no secret that both fighters are raring to fight each other. The history between two fighters is more than just stare downs and taunts.

According to USA Today, "Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones met Monday at the MGM Grand during UFC 178 media day, and their stare down on stage quickly turned into a brawl. Jones put his forehead against Cormier's, and Cormier responded with a shove. Jones then threw a punch that took out the signboard behind them."

Jones was forced to cancel the fight due to injury and the two eventually met at UFC 182. Jones went on to win via unanimous decision but his belt was revoked after a failed drug test. Things went downhill for Jones as he has to face some legal problems involving a car accident. He was eventually suspended from UFC.

During his suspension, Cormier went on to become the lightweight champion. The return of Jones naturally warrants a rematch between the two powerful lightweight fighters.

Even when the camera isn't rolling, both fighters are still at odds with each other. According to Low Kick MMA, both fighters are once again trying to get in each other's nerves that it practically boiled over to the point where they might end up fighting. Their conformation is not the same as the infamous UFC 178 but it's still a confrontation that could really hype things up for each fighter.

Odds are in favor on Jon Jones according to Odds Shark, "With Jones officially reinstated following his legal issues outside the Octagon, he opened as a massive -340 favorite for the rematch with Cormier per Bovada.

DC has fought twice since the loss to Jones, both as a favorite, but opened at +260 for their rematch." It might not be an indication on Jones' prowess, but many still see Jones as a powerful fighter that can defeat Cormier.
