It has been years since Nintendo and Pokemon has released a new game, which is why fans were delighted to have known that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is coming this year to Nintendo NDS; and definitely one of the things everyone looks forward to is the new breed of Pokemons that will be introduced in the new game.
In its report, iDigital Times presented 10 new Mega Evolutions that "make the most sense." First are the Johto starters, Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr, who were introduced back in "Pokemon Gold and Silver."
Next is Butterfree, who according to iDigital Times, is in need of an upgrade after 20 years. This is also in accordance with Mega Beedrill brought about by Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which gave Beedrill insane attack and speed stats. Butterfree, to be competitive, has to have a diverse move pool and more powerful special attacks, the report noted.
Other Pokemons named by the report needing mega evolution are Froslass, Hydreigon, Weezing, Whimsicott, Lilligant, Milotic and Flygon.
One of the most notable Pokemon that need mega evolution is Raichu for the reason that since Pikachu has become the face of the Pokemon franchise, it is only reasonable to give Raichu a mega evolution this year being the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
"This would be a great chance to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the franchise by beefing up the electric mouse Pokemon and making it viable in competitive play," iDigital Times wrote.
Day Herald also reported that legendary Pokemon Zygarde will be part of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," along with Mangearna and Volcanion. According to the report, the three Pokemons will play an important role on the storyline on "Sun and Moon." It added that legendary Pokemon Zygarde may be a dual type character with dragon and ground traits.
