A few days before airing of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in theaters, reports have surfaced that Wonder Woman will also be starring in her own movie, separate of the upcoming battle film between the hero in red cape and Batman.
Gal Gadot, who has played several roles in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, will be portraying the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman v Superman" and in a standalone movie as well, Business Insider reported. Furthermore, she is also set to be casted in the same role in at least two Justice League movies.
The 30-year old actress, who has been known for her character in the latter "Fast and Furious" installments, first started as Miss Israel and served two years in the Israel Army, Business Insider reported.
Regarding the production of the said "Wonder Woman" movie, no reports have claims yet over this information. Although it is believed the film will be shown in 2017, specific details regarding the movie production are yet to be revealed in the coming months.
There are a handful of reports claiming that the setting of the movie will be on a three-period basis. Design and Trend, in its report, revealed Wonder Woman will be present during the first World War. According to the report, this was revealed in a video footage released by CW.
The second time period will be on present day which will link her to the "Justice League Part One," and the last time period she is rumored to appear, is said to be shot in Italy which will be Wonder Woman's home town setting.
Other cast to join Gal Gadot includes stars Chris Pine who will be her love interest, Steve Trevor and Connie Nielsen as Wonder Woman's mother, Hippolyta and other stars such as Ewen Bremner, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis and Saïd Taghmaoui.
"Wonder Woman" is expected to hit the theaters by June 23, 2017.
