Drake's friend and album producer, Noah Shebib, confirmed an April release for the rapper's upcoming album. Titled "Views From The 6," Shebib recently claimed "We're getting very very close," when asked regarding the status of production.
According to Ecumenical News, Shebib confirmed the singer-rapper is only preparing himself.
"The time will come when Drake's ready to pull the trigger, but for us it's just a balance of finding that space to make such a project that's based around our city, and then also we come out here and escape some of the harsh winter and find a good creative space."
It can be recalled that Drake announced he'll be releasing an upcoming album last 2014. Once released, his new album, "View From the 6," will be the artist's fourth full-length album succeeding "Nothing Was The Same."
Drake has been locking in his studio together with Shebib to hasten things up and to get done with the project, Ecumenical News reported. As per report, they are already at the progress of album completion and some finishing touches. Drake even told The Verge, "I'll give you a date later on, just know that we're working. We're working."
Meanwhile, Drake has currently revealed a release date for their newest signee in OVO Sound. OVO Sound has consistently made a scene in the music industry due to establishment of several artist's reputations, including PARTYNEXTDOOR and Roy Woods. According to The Source, the Drake made an announcement via Instagram that a debut album for DVSN will be released on April 1.
Drake has earned several awards, one Grammy, three Juno Awards, Six BETA Awards and several billboard chart toppers. Before becoming a singer-rapper, the multi-awarded artist first became popular when casted as Jimmy Brooks in a television series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," before finally entering the music industry, Ecumenical News added.
