As the unveiling of "Orange Is The New Black" is nearing, several reports have already pinpointed to the escalating decay of Alex's and Piper relationship in the forthcoming season.
When asked about the upcoming events regarding Alex's and Piper's relationship, Lauron Prepon (Alex) revealed to Entertainment weekly: "They love each other and they hate each other, and it's frustrating and passionate, but there's definitely some vindication there, for sure," iDigital Times reported. Prepon even added: "Piper thought she was crazy all season, but she wasn't."
The actress futher elaborated there will be no shortage of stories for the two's relationship, considering the show has been renewed three times already.
"The Alex and Piper relationship is so awesome," said Prepon to Entertainment Online. "It's so tumultuous...they love each other a lot. It's this crazy relationship, there's never a dull moment. I don't know if two people like that could ever ride off into the sunset, but we'll see what happens in Season Four. There's no shortage of stories to tell."
Focusing on Piper's character, show writer Jenji Kohan revealed there would be less appearances for the said character and other several themes will be introduced.
"We start with political agendas, the corporatization of the prison, the stratification of people into their little mosaic groups," revealed Kohan at the 2016 Winter TCA Press Tour. "We want it to be a surprise, but [you can expect] all the fun stuff like race and hate and some things from current events that we wanted to filter through our lens."
According to Movie News Guide, the next season will pick up from the finale ending of season 3. It was stated that there will be no time skipping for the succeeding episodes as well.
