"Dark Souls 3" is set to debut as the combination of what is best of "Dark Souls" and "Dark Souls 2." The third installation of "Dark Souls" series is anticipated to be a better one, and yet retain the spirit of its predecessors.
The game is slated for a release date in the near future, but Alphr reports that director Hidetaka Miyazaki expressed his readiness to close the book on the "Dark Souls" series.
"I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating 'Souls' and 'Bloodborne' games," Miyazaki said in a Gamespot interview. "I'm considering 'Dark Souls 3' to be the big closure on the series."
"That's not just limited to me, but FromSoftware and myself together want to aggressively make new things in the future," he added. "'Dark Souls 3' will mark the last game where the development project began before I became president."
It could possible mean that FromSoftware is going to create a different type of game from the"Souls" franchise.
According to Christian Today, a Japanese promotional pamphlet for "Dark Souls 3" has been leaked online, with in-game screenshots of the game, the pre-order bonus for the Japanese version and some details of its features.
"Dark Souls 3" is set to be released on March 24 in Japan and on April 12 in the rest of the world. Stay tuned for more news.
