China's information technology (IT) media 'Wang Wang' reported on April 3 that AlphaGo will battle against no.1 world rank Ke Jie.

Ke Jie started to learn how to play go in 2003 when he was 5 years old and won his first national championship in 2007.

In March of last year, AlphaGo went 4-1 in Korea against Lee Se-dol. This game, which had attracted a great deal of attention from before the game, has won more controversy,after beating human pro. It was not before AlphaGo that the artificial intelligence program overwhelmed victory against pro Baduk player.

The Chinese media reported that Chinese, Korean and Japanese players could participate in the battle against AlphaGo, but the participation of South Korea and Japan is not yet confirmed.

A mysterious AI player who has been defeating world top Go players for over 60 straight games online has been revealed as an upgraded AlphaGo.

Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind which made the AI, confirmed the identity of "Master" who won straight victories on Chinese gaming platforms Tygem and FoxGo.

During that time, it has beaten China's top player Ke Jie, South Korean Park Jung-hwan, and Iyama Yuta of Japan, as well as a litany of world-renowned champions.

In this regard, the Korean Baduk Association said, "Currently, no related proposal has been received."
