A mother recently diagnosed with breast cancer is going against all types of conventional treatment in fighting the disease, choosing a raw diet of vegetables.

Kelly Logan, 34, is a mother of 2 children-Logan, 14, and Blaze, 4--when she was diagnosed with a ductal carcinoma after she discovered a lump. Her doctors explained that she might have developed an infection in one of the breast ducts while she was breastfeeding, and the infection caused the cells to mutate and grow.

Already devastated by the findings, she felt more helpless when the doctors advised her to undergo standard cancer treatments including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy to increase her survival.

Although she was clear that she had the disease, she was more petrified at the idea that she was going to lose her breast and her body be filled by strong cocktail drugs. She recalled a time when a friend of hers also developed cancer and was treated with regular treatments. Later, he died while still in his chemo sessions because his immune system dipped incredibly low.

While chemotherapy drugs can kill cancer cells, they can also do the same to healthy ones, leaving the body more prone to infection and serious diseases.

Thus, she turned her attention to a holistic, natural diet, plus a wide range of supplements to fight it. She went online to gather more information about alternative treatments and alleged to have found those that can help her body heal.

Kelly has already made huge changes to her diet. More than 85% of what she eats every day come from raw fruits and vegetables, which she normally juice. She removed fish and meat from her diet.

She still sees her doctor every 3 months to help her monitor the size of her tumor, and according to her last check-up, it has already grown to almost a millimeter. However, according to Kelly, it's a small change considering she has the cancer for around 5 months now.
