
Bandai Namco Games has revealed the official release date for Nintendo 3DS fighting game "Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butoden."
The announcement was made through the April issue of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine. The game, which is developed by Arc System Works, will be released in Japan on June 11.
The game will reportedly feature more than a hundred fighters playable for both one-on-one and team battle modes. Fan favorites such as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Krillin, Frieza, Majin Buu and Broly can be utilized by players. "Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butoden" is also said to have unique maps and stages. Moves such as "Ultimate Arts" and "Z Assist" can be employed by the players to win the battles.
Before the game's release, a demo version will be released along with four playable characters: Goku, Teen Gohan, Vegeta and Majin Buu. In order to get the demo, fans will need a special code found exclusively on the June 2015 issue of V-Jump magazine which will be available in stores next month. The current edition, which was released on Mar. 20, is their May 2015 issue.
"Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butoden" will be released with a "Dragon Ball Disk Cross" CD which will feature a playable "Fukkatso no F" ("Resurrection of F") version of Golden Frieza. It will also come bundled up with the "Dragon Ball Z: Cho Butoden 2" product code to download the game to Nintendo 3DS as well as a card for "Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2."
Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta will reportedly make an appearance in the game. Players will be able to save their progress in the demo version and their power level can be transferred into the full game once it has finally been launched. Furthermore, the saved demo data will also unlock a playable "Resurrection of F" Goku character.
