“Mission: Impossible 5” has just wrapped up, but the franchise’s fans still know nothing about the film. The cast and crew have managed to keep mum about the details of the upcoming action blockbuster.
Inspite all the secrecy, the fact that “Mission: Impossible 5” was given a green light in the first place proves that Tom Cruise still has what it takes to be the skilled sky that he once was.
“That’s a wrap,” director Christopher McQuarrie wrote on Twitter. “One thousand thanks to our incredible cast and crew. You truly achieved the impossible.”
The movie was supposed to hit big screens last December. However, Christian Today has reported that the film makers had to redo the entire ending since it was deemed to be “unsatisfactory.” Rumors have even stated that the ending was revamped from top to bottom, and that they had to call in a new writer, an unpaid one, to save the movie from being scrapped.
Through a question-and-answer portion that he had on social media, he has refuted all claims and said that all they did was to prep up the film. Plus, he also revealed that an official “Mission: Impossible 5” trailer is about to come out soon. Sadly, he did not mention any particular date on when the video is going to be released.
He even said that he put a lot of thought into the fifth installment’s plot. According to the Collider, McQuarrie wanted to do something for “Mission: Impossible 5” that has never been done in the previous films of the franchise.
Cruise will be returning to reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt. Joining him will be Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon McBurne, Zhang Jingchu, and Sean Harris.
“Mission: Impossible 5” will be out in theaters on July 31, 2015.
