The trailer for "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" has been released by Bandai Namco last week. The Nintendo 3DS game will be available in Japan on Jun. 11.
The game will be sold for 5,690 yen which is around 47 USD. First copies of "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" will include a "Dragon Ball Disk Cross" CD which will feature the golden version of Frieza that will appear in the forthcoming "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatso no F" ("Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F").
It will also provide a product code which allows players to download the Super Famicom (Super Nintendo) game "Dragon Ball Z Cho Butoden 2" into their Nintendo 3DS. Plus, a "Dragon Ball Heroes" card featuring the film version of Goku is included in the pack. Moreover, if players saved their data from the Nintendo 3DS game "Dragon Ball Heroes Ultimate Mission 2," Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta will appear in "Extreme Butoden."
The "Ultimate Arts" finishing moves can now be employed by players. The "Z Assist" by Bulma, Chichi and other characters provides support to players through Bulma's inventions from Capsule and Chichi's fury, which fills the screen with a giant speech bubble of her rants.
"The game also boasts a large roster of characters, at around a 100 spanning the Dragon Ball pantheon. That said, only around 20 of these characters will actually be playable," Ollie Barder of Forbes reported.
The 20 playable characters in the game are: Krillin, Piccolo, Raditz, Nappa, Ginyu, Android 18, Cell, Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Beerus and Syn/Omega Shenron. Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and Bardock, in his Base and Super Saiyan forms, can be used by players as well as Frieza's First Form, Second Form, Final Form and Golden Form. Gogeta, Gotenks and Future Trunks, whose Base is playable, can be used in their Super Saiyan forms.
Main characters Goku (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God), Teen Gohan (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2), Ultimate Gohan (Base, Super Saiyan) and Vegeta (Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 4) are also playable.
