Toei Animation recently revealed the newest teaser for "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F." The studio's latest promo unveiled Goku's new Super Saiyan God form.
"Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F," also known as "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F," is scheduled to be released in Japan on Apr. 18 in both 2D and 3D theaters. Momoiro Clover Z performed the film's theme song while hardcore punk band Maximum the Hormone's 2008 song entitled "F" will be used in one of the battle scenes of the movie.
The English dubbed version of the film will be released in North American theaters in summer 2015. The film will be the first Japanese movie to open in 3D IMAX Digital theaters. It is directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro and Akira Toriyama created the concept, screenplay as well as the character's designs.
Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine's 20th issue also revealed last week that Goku will have a new Super Saiyan God form in the upcoming film. The publication announced that Goku's new form will be used to fight Frieza's new golden form as well.
In "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" film, Goku initially transformed into Super Saiyan God form with his hair becoming red. Goku's newest Super Saiyan God form for "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" turns the superhero's hair blue. Just like in his Super Saiyan 1 or 2, Goku's hair stands on end in this form but it will now look like a blue flame.
The magazine also reported that Goku's newest form will be playable in the Nintendo 3DS game "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden." Fans who watch the film or use the code in the June issue of V Jump magazine will be able to get an early access pass to a demo version of the game, which will include Goku's Super Saiyan God form.
The game will be officially shipped in Japan on Jun. 11.
