Because of what you're buying at your local Dollar Tree as nearly 12,000 boxes of pain-relief tablets that contain ibuprofen have been recalled.
According to WBZT.com, this many boxes were removed from Dollar Tree stores in North Carolina because some cartons contained different medications that could cause allergic reactions.
Greensboro-Based Contract Packaging Resources Inc. told WBZT.com that it mistakenly placed bottles of ibuprofen inside boxes sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide as assured brand naproxen sodium tablets.
What could happen is consumers may buy naproxen sodium pain relievers, without ibuprofen, but they will accidentally take the wrong pill.The packaging company told the website that reactions can include hives or even life-threating respiratory problems, but no reports of the reactions have happened yet.
