Nina Dobrev may have already exited “The Vampire Diaries” after being part of the highly watched show for six seasons. Now, she reportedly wants to dive head-on to more ambitious roles.
“There are so many different things that could happen,” she said, according to The International Business Times. “I am just going to see where the universe takes me.”
As stated in the report, she also is not limiting herself to furthering her acting career, either. She is reportedly also open to embarking in other business ventures, too. “I am very business-minded,” she told Self. “I will be stepping outside of my comfort zone. My mom crossed into Canada to meet him [Kamen Dobrev – her father] with one suitcase and a kid in each hand. I learned hard work from them.”
Although she will reportedly broaden her view and not merely focus on expanding her career as an actress, it must be noted that she has also already appeared in various movies, such as “Let’s Be Cops,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” and a recently released horror satire film, “The Final Girls.”
Her “The Vampire Diaries” co-star, Paul Wesley, who plays the role of Stefan Salvatore, had recently spoken up about Dobrev’s decision to leave the show. “Obviously, there is a great nostalgia,” he told PEOPLE when he attended the Humane Society of the United States Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night. “It is never going to be the same.”
Dobrev, meanwhile, admitted that, prior to her last moments on “TVD” set, it was “important” that the final episodes “be epic and powerful.” “I feel like I am a completely different person than I was,” she shared. “I have grown so much. It has been a big part of my life and I want it to be beautiful. I want it to end well.”
