Another death driven possibly by drugs plagues Hollywood: rapper Chinx Drugz dead at 32.
After rapper Chinx Drugz was killed this week, investigation of the murder quickly ensued. In May 17, NYPD rushed to Briarwood, Queens after a 911 call was placed. On the scene were Chinx Drugz and Antar Alziadi inside the car, with gunshot wounds. Although Chix was able to make it to Jamaica Medical Center, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
According to New York CBS Special, the police reported based on witness accounts that Chinx Drugz, whose real name is Lionel Pickens and Antar Alziadi, were in the rapper's Porche "when another car pulled up alongside, and multiple shots were fired."
Chinx Drugz was shot in the torso and died a few minutes later, white Alziadi remains in the hospital in critical condition.
In the same report, witness accounts revealed that the other car was a black Mercedes. Witness Raymond Rivera said, ""It was a black Mercedes that came right next to that car and they let off shots. Police came. They put a blanket over him. They came took him in the ambulance."
After the death of Chinx Drugz, Legion Media Group released a statement in a report by Eyewitness News."It is with a heavy heart that The Legion Media Group and 4 Kings Management announce the passing of Lionel Pickens this morning. He was 31. Few details are available about his passing but his management confirmed his passing this morning. The rapper from Queens, New York was a member of French Montana's Coke Boys,"said Publicist Chanel Rae.
In the same report, Police are said to be already on the hunt for the gunmen in the black Mercedes; however, there is still no solid motive for the killing, apart from speculations on drugs. Surveillance cameras from the area will be pulled up and hopefully will shed light to the death of Lionel "Chinx" Pickens.
