New guest from "New Girl" is coming to "AHS: Hotel" series --- Max Greenfield joins the cast!
The newest addition to the roster of actors in the upcoming chapter to the FX anthology series "American Horror Story" is one-third of the small band of misfits surrounding Zooey Deschanel's Jess, Max Greenfield.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter the new cast member joining "AHS: Hotel" early this week and has fans raving about the subtle hints about Max Greenfield's character. According to Murphy, the "New Girl" actor is "checking in to the hotel... but not checking out," a hint which some fans believe to be a tease that some form of twisted danger is coming for Greenfield's character.

Max Greenfield is known for playing the odd playboy Schmidt in the Fox sitcom "New Girl" starring Zooey Deschanel. However, prior to his "New Girl" stint in 2011, the 35-year-old actor has been appearing on television since 2000. His work include appearances in TV series "Gilmore Girls" (2003), "Veronica Mars" (2005-2007), "The O.C." (2007), "Melrose Place" (2009), "Castle" (2010) and "Lie to Me" in the same year.
Meanwhile, the character specifics of Max Greenfield has yet to be revealed, as does the other confirmed cast members of "AHS: Hotel" that premieres this October. There has been, however, an unconfirmed list of characters, according to a source from IMDB via Bloody-disgusting.
The list includes names of returning cast members from the previous "American Horror Story" seasons and their respective characters. However, neither Ryan Murphy nor Brad Falchuk has made comments about the allegedly confirmed characters.
The complete and updated cast members of "AHS: Hotel" include returning alums Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett. They will be joined by no less than "AHS: Hotel" headliner Lady Gaga, with Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, and the latest addition to the list of cast members, Max Greenfield.
