The "Gran Turismo 6" car list has been updated with the addition of the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo and Nissan GT-R LM Nismo.
The "Gran Turismo" website announced that update 1.19 brings with it new cars and features. Peugeot's Vision Gran Turismo has been released and can now be purchased from the "Vision GT" option within the "Cars" section in "My Home." It is also possible to acquire the car by completing a lap in the new Seasonal Event, for a limited time.
The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo has also been added as a gift car for players who are able to complete Round 4 of "GT Academy 2015." The event will begin on Jun. 2 at 12:00 a.m. (PST). Players must have completed the previous 3 rounds to enter Round 4 and achieve at least a Bronze award or better.
Nissan's car has a unique approach to the rules and regulation of the World Endurance Championship. It has a front-wheel drive, front-engined setup which is extinct in modern motorsport. It was designed by Ben Bowlby, who worked with DeltaWing previously.
Other improvements for the update include adjustments on the sound effects for the active wing/airbrake systems. These have been added to specific Vision Gran Turismo cars. Peugeot's Vision Gran Turismo promises a unique driving experience for "GT6."
The SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo, a digital creation by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for "GT6," was envisioned with the aim of dominating the virtual race track. It has a hybrid power-plant which combines electric motors with a V-10 engine and have 2,590 horsepower.
"It was very exciting around the studio," Jeep designer Paul Hoste said in an interview. "It was one of those projects where we all had to put in work on nights and weekends if we wanted to participate."
Hoste's single-seat supercar was chosen by Design Chief Ralph Gilles with its aggressive looks and hybrid powertrain. His creation reportedly captured the spirit of the game.
