The plethora of hair products adorning rows and rows of store shelves could either be a breezy convenience or a confusing conundrum. Not only that- many of the ingredients infused in these products are toxic, carcinogenic, and plain hazardous to the health.

So why not go natural? Mother Nature provides everything we need, even our hair care demands. Here are some natural remedies for different types of hair problems.

Limp or Fine Hair

The problem with limp or fine hair is the lack of body and volume. To add the needed oomph for this hair type, the solution may seem unlikely, but has been proven effective by many beauty gurus- beer. Beer contains a lot of yeast, making it a solution for tired hair, says Janice Cox, author of "natural Beauty at Home".

Dry or Sun-Damaged Hair

Dry or damaged hair is usually a product of either hard water, over styling with heat, excessive sun exposure, among others. To address this hair blunder, try honey, nature's sweetener. According to Cox, honey is a "natural humectant, which means it attracts and locks moisture."

Frizzy Hair

Avocado has been used by a number of natural beauty experts. The delectable fruit is not only perfect for the palate but repairs damaged hair too. This is attributed to avocado's light and moist oils as well as the proteins, making it a fruit packed with nutrients that smooth and weigh down unruly, untamed hair.

Greasy or Oily Hair

Cornstarch has been long popular to be the best and most inexpensive solution for oily hair. One tablespoon is enough to sprinkle on dry hair and scalp. This scan be applied every day.

Itchy Scalp

Flakes on scalp are usually a symptom, not the main problem (except for some). Dandruff indicates poor diet, stress and climate. A mixture of lemon juice and olive oil mixture rids the scalp of flakes due to the acidity of the lemon juice.
