"Pokémon" character designs for the first generation Gym Leaders were revealed.

Ken Sugimori, the original character designer of the "Pokémon" series, posted the first design sketches on his Twitter account for Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge and Erika. Brock is depicted without a shirt and his figure will be made as such. Misty is shown wearing her swimsuit while Lt. Surge is wearing his uniform and seems to be in a battle stance. Erika is in a squat position with a Pokéball on her hands.

Sugimori was able to release his first ever artbook last year. The book is a collection of art from his 25-year career. It includes "Pokémon," "Quinty" (also known as "Mendel Palace") and "Jerry Boy" (or "Smart Ball" in North America).

The designer revealed the "Pokémon" character designs after the announcement of the upcoming shirtless Brock figure. He admitted that more figures might be made reality if it generates interest.

Bandai Namco Japan announced that a new Misty figure is being developed wearing a bathing suit similar to her "Pokémon" character design. The figure comes after shirtless Brock, who was modeled after his original game sprite from "Pokémon Blue and Red."

"The stage of adventure shifts to Cerulean City - the second Gym Leader, Misty, the 'Tomboy Mermaid,' will be turned into merchandise," the image read. "Her poses from the game will be replicated just like Brock. Preorders are expected to begin this fall. Look forward to it!"

The latest title in the "Pokémon" game series is "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon." It is slated for release on Sep. 17 in Japan. Nintendo streamed the game's trailer during its Nintendo Direct presentation a few weeks ago.

The game will be shipped in Japan on Sep. 17 for about $39 for either the package edition or download edition. It will be released in North America this winter and is slated for a European release next spring.
