The new "Deadpool" trailer was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2015.
The latest footage for the upcoming superhero film was shown during 20th Century Fox's panel at Comic-Con. The "Deadpool" trailer featured lots of profanity and, according to IGN, is definitely putting their R-rating to good use.
Weasel, an unmasked Wade Wilson as well as Colossus made an appearance in the latest "Deadpool" trailer. The video was also full of violence, with one scene depicting Deadpool leaping over a crashed car and shooting three henchmen through the skull with a single bullet.
There were speculations that the film would be toned down for a PG-13 rating. However, Ryan Reynolds, who will take on the role of the fictional antihero, confirmed the rating last April. "February 12th," the actor tweeted. "There will be blood. Guns. F-bombs. And graphic, expertly lit French Unicorn sex. #deadpoolRatedR @deadpoolmovie #Aprilpools"
Reynolds also revealed that they still have something in store for fans in three weeks. Apparently, the "Deadpool" trailer from SDCC 2015 still needed some more special effects. Fans will just have to wait for a little bit longer to see the official footage. The actor has previously credited the leaked footage from Comic-Con last year in helping the film come to fruition.
"As much as I want the #deadpool footage from #SDCC officially released, the VFX shots aren't done yet," Reynolds recently tweeted. "We have something for you in 3 weeks."
"Deadpool" stars Reynolds as Wade Wilson or Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Ed Skrein as Francis or Ajax and Gina Carano as Angel Dust. Brianna Hildebrand will take on the role of Negasonic Teenage Warhead while Andre Tricoteux and Leslie Uggams will portray Colossus and Blind Al, respectively.
It is directed by Tim Miller. The film is slated for Feb. 12, 2016. It is intended to be the eighth installment in the "X-Men" film series.
