A new teaser video for Ariana Grande's "Scream Queens" character has been released.
Ariana Grande will take on the role of Chanel No. 2 of the sorority group Kappa Kappa Tau "The Chanels." There's a killer on the loose and the girls investigate who it might be. The "Love Me Harder" singer revealed how she was chosen by series creator Ryan Murphy.
"Chanel No. 2, I think, is a good friend," Ariana Grande said of her "Scream Queens character. "I think she's a loyal friend to Chanel. I feel like [she] is the most timid of the group. I think she might be like the safest, least daring one of the group."
"I don't know if she has goals. Just being a Chanel, I think she's just so happy being a part and I feel like she's a good friend, you know?"
The "Break Free" star admitted that it has been a fun experience for her, saying that all the girls were so welcoming and made her feel right at home. Ariana Grande is joined by Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and Abigail Breslin as "The Chanels."
Chanel Oberlin, also known as Chanel No. 1, is played by Roberts. She admitted that Oberlin is the farthest thing from "warm and fuzzy." Chanels No. 3 and 5 are portrayed by Billie Lourd and Abigail Breslin, respectively. They are the Gretchen and Karen of the group (from "Mean Girls").
Series creator Ryan Murphy felt that Ariana Grande's "Scream Queens" character would be perfect for her since she's into all that "messed-up horror, Gothic, crazy, weird stuff." There are five Chanels but only four videos were released. Chanel No. 4 is still a mystery. "Scream Queens" will premiere on Sep. 22.
Ariana Grande was recently investigated by the police for licking doughnuts at a shop in Southern California. It was previously reported that police in Lake Elsinore and Riverside County public health officials were investigating the leaked video.
