Limited Edition ‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Xbox One Bundle Revealed; Microsoft Looking To E-Sports?

Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox One bundle has been revealed.

Fans can now pre-order the Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox One 1TB bundle. It includes a Spartan-themed Steel Book containing a full game download of the game, Warzone REQ Bundle, FOTUS-class armor and multiplayer emblem.

The "Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox One bundle also features a Guardian model by Metal Earth, "Halo: The Fall of Reach - Animated Series" as well as Spartan Locke's Classified Orders. It will be launched on Oct. 20 and is priced at $500.

Fans can also opt for the Wireless Controllers. There are two designs to choose from. One is the Xbox One Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians-the Master Chief" Wireless Controller which features the signature green and metallic orange accents of Master Chief's armor.

The Master Chief Wireless Controller will also include a bonus REQ Pack with the Dauntless visor. It can be played as far as up to 18 ft. wireless range and can connect up to eight Wireless Controllers at once.

Second is the Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox One Wireless Controller which boasts of a unique laser-etched design, metallic blue accents with military insignias and a bonus REQ Pack including the Resolute visor. It can also be used for up to 18 ft. wireless range and can connect up to eight Wireless Controllers.

Microsoft may be aiming to lure e-sports fans with "Halo 5: Guardians." The game will show new levels of interstellar combat as well as new twists in multiplayer capabilities.

"The bottom line is all game developers everywhere are looking for ways to turn their games into e-sports titles," former Microsoft exec Rahul Sood said. Sood is now the chief executive of Unikrn, which runs a site for betting on e-sports.

The ever-growing e-sport industry is a big moneymaking opportunity for game developers. Microsoft may be hoping that "Halo 5: Guardians" will make fans engaged in the series again.
