Kim Kardashian West has just attracted the attention of a very interesting group: the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This is after she posted an image of a morning sickness pill in Instagram without documenting its possible side effects.

Looking mesmerizing just like in hundreds of selfie photos, Kim K posed while holding a bottle of Diclegis (doxylamine and pyridoxine) a lot closer to the camera. In the accompanying Instragram caption, she shared how she's currently struggling with morning sickness now that she's pregnant with her second child with Kanye West.

She's tried lifestyle changes including diet, but nothing worked. That's why she's thankful to have encountered the pill. In fact, she was so convinced in its effectiveness she's partnered with Duchesnay USA, distributor of the drug, to promote morning sickness awareness. She ended the post with a link to the info website.

That was enough for the FDA to send a warning letter to Duchesnay addressed to Eric Gervais, executive vice president. In the correspondence sent a couple of days ago, they pointed out the post was missing the potential risks of the drug especially since it has not been fully tested with women who suffer from a more severe morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum. This is characterized by excessive and often prolonged vomiting.

Further, they called the ad as troubling and misleading that it deserves to be forwarded to the Bad Ad Program of the agency.

The agency then set two conditions that should be followed by the company. First, it should remove all ads that misbrand the product, and second, it needs to submit a letter on or before August 21, 2015, stating they're willing to comply with the mandate. The response should include a detailed plan on how to create more "truthful" ads in the future. As of Tuesday, August 11, Duchesnay has expressed its willingness to address the issue as soon as possible.

Kim K's post, which was shared in Facebook and Twitter, had already been removed.
