With rumors suggesting Ellen DeGeneres' divorce from wife Portia de Rossi, It looks like nothing lasts in Hollywood.
The happy and well-liked couple is reportedly about to let go of the rope, and have decided to call it quits. Rumor has it that they have already separated last April 2015 and have since lived in separate houses.
But what was the culprit of the split? It seems that the couple has not spent enough time together.
"Instead of taking time to work things out, Ellen said she wanted to use her time off to get eyelid surgery," an insider told In Touch.
"The last ting Portia wanted to do is sit home and take of her while she is recovering...So Ellen left. Everyone is worried that they're headed for a divorce. Hopefully Ellen will come to her sense."
Reports have also claimed that Ellen was trying to fight off the divorce by renewing their vows and seeking help from a therapist.
"Ellen thought it would revive the relationship, but Portia is so pissed off that she canceled everything," a source told Life & Style. "There is so much tension between them...Their marriage is hanging on by a thread."
"They fight a lot during the sessions," said a source to Star Magazine about the couple's therapy sessions.
"It was a very unhealthy situation, but they have begun the healing process. They are finally dealing with their issues. Portia often complains that she feels bullied. With Ellen's show on hiatus for the summer, she is home bossing Portia around all day and expecting her to be at her beck and call."
