Parents have been posting concerns on social media claiming that they’ve allegedly found glass shards in Huggies baby wipes, according to CNN.

A mother in Camarillo, California, Melissa Estrella, reportedly posted her video showing the “shiny particles” in several packages of Huggies baby wipes on Facebook, reportedly receiving 6.5 million views and bringing on the concern of other mothers.

“If you can see all of this stuff shining on the wipes, that is all glass,” the mother is heard saying in the video.

“All we have to do is wipe and glass comes right off. I’m not lying you guys, this is glass on my daughter’s wipes. I’m just so heartbroken that I didn’t notice this sooner.”

The company, owned by Kimberly-Clark Corp., has since shut down the allegations, according to the news outlet Marketwatch.com.

“To confirm, no glass is used during the manufacturing process. Generally speaking, we make our product by combining a blend of fibers. Rarely, but on occasion, when those fibers combine together while being formed, they creating a shiny particle similar to what was found by this consumer,” the company posted on its website.

“We are currently in the process of testing the product in question from the censure which will allow us to conduct a full investigation. Once test results are complete, we will share our findings publicly.”

Huggies reportedly responded to the allegations on social media, stating that it isn’t planning on a recall because the “product poses no health risk to babies.”

Some mothers have come to the defense of Huggies, stating the the particles found in the wipes weren’t glass.

“I rubbed it all over my hands arms face and legs. Didn’t feel a thing,” wrote Danielle Montez on the Huggies page.

“Went to wipe my baby with the next wipe. Team Huggies for going on 9 years now.”
