"Zelda" Wii U may have a new story.
Master Herald reported that fans of the franchise want something new and exciting for the series, not just a rehash of the previous stories. Another remake might not be able to satisfy the anticipation of the series' loyal gamers.
There are no leads as to what the plot will be for "Zelda" Wii U. However, some fans are worried that there may be a grain of truth in rumors that the upcoming game will be recreated from its predecessors.
Nintendo has been successful in building up the excitement for "Zelda" Wii U and in keeping any information from leaking to the public. It makes even more sense for the video game company to be ultra-secretive about this since it is one of the most critical games for their platforms.
Fans have a lot of suggestions for the mysterious "Legend of Zelda" game. Some are tired of facing Ganondorf as the main antagonist and would want to fight another big villain. Others may want new lead characters as well.
"Nintendo definitely needs to look into refreshing the game's overall setting and character line-up if they want to keep it relevant, because they obviously can't keep retelling the same story with small variations over and over again," the publication wrote.
There are speculations that "Zelda" Wii U may instead become a launch title for Nintendo NX. The upcoming console is deemed as its new "dedicated game platform" and is expected to be more successful than the Wii U.
Other games that are said to be developed for the Nintendo NX, along with "Zelda," are the classics: "Metroid" and "Super Mario."
"The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes" will have several puzzles, dungeons and monsters. Its latest trailer revealed 32 stages for the ultimate gameplay experience. It also has an ice-themed dungeon.
"Trifoce Heroes" will be available on Oct. 23 for Nintendo 3DS.
