Dark Mewtwo is said to be the new boss character for the "Pokken Tournament" game.
IGN reported that a video, which first surfaced on NicoNico via NeoGAF, has revealed that Dark Mewtwo will be coming to the arcade game as a new boss character. It still remains to be seen, though, whether the new character will be making its way to the Wii U version of the "Pokken Tournament" game.
The publication further speculated that this new form of the psychic Pokémon may appear in future games such as the highly-anticipated "Pokémon Z." Mewtwo has already undergone both "X and Y" Mega Evolutions.
According to Kotaku, some think that Dark Mewtwo could be the combined version of "Pokémon X and Y" and "Pokémon Z." Others suggested that this new form is exclusive to the "Pokken Tournament" game and might not be featured in other games.
GameRant reported that Bandai Namco appeared to have updated the "Pokken Tournament" game in secret. Dark Mewtwo is said to have been included as a special boss in a final Extra Battle mode.
Dark Mewtwo looked more sinister than usual. The Pokémon appeared in-game in a darker color with a crystal-like object in his left shoulder, which is said to be a unique mega stone.
Nintendo has announced the game's worldwide availability next spring. "Pokken Tournament" Wii U will be a revamped version of Bandai Namco's arcade fighting game which was released exclusively in Japan last Jul. 16, 2015.
