Grunkle Stan will reportedly die in "Gravity Falls" season 2.

According to Movie News Guide, series creator Alex Hirsch revealed that "Gravity Falls" season 2 episode 18 is just the start of everything. Furthermore, it seems like one major character, from the Pines family, will get killed this season.

The publication noted that Hirsch announced on Twitter that one main character will be saying goodbye in "Gravity Falls" season 2. There are several speculations on who it might be.

After episode 18 aired, though, it was suggested that the major character who will die could be one of the Pines. Moreover, only one member of the Pines family is said to live through "Gravity Falls" season 2.

The publication commented that fans believe that it could be Grunkle Stan. Aside from the fact that all his possession has been destroyed in a fire, Stan has also said something about death and wanting a bigger tombstone than Ford's.

"As was revealed in the first episode of the season, 'Scary-oke,' Grunkle Stan is aware of magic, mystery, chaos, and weirdness and doesn't exactly care for it," Hirsch clarified about the Pines uncle running off and leaving the kids in "Gravity Falls" season 2 episode 18.

"So when the apocalypse happens, to Grunkle Stan it's less of a reality bending shock and more of a frustrating hassle, which comes with it, concerns about the characters her cares about. I cannot say when, where, or how we'll see Stan again."

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot reported that the "Weirdmageddon" arc will go on for multiple episodes and could last until the end of "Gravity Falls" season 2. Plus, there's one theory that could explain the phenomenon happening in the coming episodes.

Mabel is said to be powering Weirdmageddon with her imagination. This makes her the key to Bill's plans, literally. Additionally, saving her might cause disastrous consequences for everyone in Gravity Falls.

This could be why Bill chained Mabel's bubble, not to keep other people out, but to keep her in. However, it is highly likely that Mabel is already starting to break out of her prison.
