Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber could get back together according to the "Baby" singer himself.
Billboard reported that Justin Bieber's new album, entitled "Purpose," will be coming out on Friday. Ellen DeGeneres decided to invite the singer to kick off the Bieber Week event in her show.
The host asked Bieber about his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and whether or not he thinks that they would ever get back together. "Maybe," he answered.
"We have a lot of history together so it could possibly happen. I think we're both just on our own journeys, figuring ourselves out and once we've figured ourselves out we could maybe come together and make an awesome duo."
"What Do You Mean," "Sorry" and "Mark My Words" are said to be inspired by the "I Want You To Know" pop star. The two dated on and off from 2010 to 2013.
It was previously reported that the 21-year-old artist admitted that poured out his emotions into the songs of his Kanye West-produced album. "A lot of my inspiration comes from her [Selena]," he told Ryan Seacrest in a radio show.
"It was a long relationship and a relationship that created heartbreak and created happiness and a lot of different emotions that I wanted to write about, so there's a lot of that on this album."
In another report by Us Weekly, Justin Bieber opened up about he learned from his relationship with Selena Gomez. "I think we didn't really know what we were doing," he said.
"[We were] young and we kinda just invested too much of ourselves into each other."
The "Purpose" singer admitted that he learned a lot of things about life and how to treat women. "I think a woman needs security," he revealed. "I think a woman needs to feel that security and know that nothing else matters. I learned that with her."
"She's my homey," Justin Bieber said about Selena Gomez. "We're friends. We don't talk every day. But every now and then, she hits my phone up."
