The "Pokémon Z" release date may be confirmed this December.

iDigitalTimes reported that the November issue of CoroCoro showed off a blue-gemmed Zygarde Core. Plus, a preview of CoroCoro's December issue noted that a major "Pokémon" announcement will be revealed. The issue will be available on Dec. 15.

Usually, December issues are published to announce the first details of the next "Pokémon" movie. However, it is highly likely that the "Pokémon Z" release date may be confirmed next month.

The publication noted that the 2015 "Pokémon" movie featured Hoopa and made it available to trainers. The big news this December could also confirm which Pokémon will be the focus of the next film.

Volcanion still needs to be revealed and could get a longer feature by next year. The new Zygarde forms will be in the "Pokémon XY and Z" anime.

It was previously reported that Dark Mewtwo may be featured in "Pokémon Z" along with three other Legendary. The psychic Pokémon appeared in the arcade game, "Pokken Tournament."

Dark Mewtwo is the latest boss character for the "Pokken Tournament" game. IGN also speculated that this new form of the psychic Pokémon may appear in future games such as "Pokémon Z."

"Pokémon Z" may also feature three Legendary Pokémon instead of just Zygarde. Xerneas and Yveltal from "Pokémon X and Y" are also said to appear in the upcoming title.

The "Pokémon Z" release date is rumored to be released during the first quarter of next year. According to Movie Pilot, fans will most likely see the launch of the 3DS game along with "Pokémon GO!" next year.

Series director Junichi Masuda appeared in the Nov. 15, 2015 episode of Pokémon no Uchi (Pokémon Get TV), a variety show in Japan. It was expected that the "Pokémon Z" release date would be announced then. However, Parent Herald noted that no final details have been given as of now.
