The new "Deadpool" movie poster has been released.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the anti-hero has gotten even cheekier in his latest "Deadpool" movie poster. The new promotional material for the film shows the Merc with a Mouth grabbing his behind.
This should not come as a surprise since director Tim Miller has recently revealed that the anti-hero is pansexual. In an interview about the "Deadpool" movie, he was asked whether the film would be "very hypersexualized."
"Pansexual! I want that quoted," Miller told Collider. "Pansexual Deadpool."
"There is some sexuality in this movie for sure," Reynolds, who portrays the titular character, added. "You kinda think you have moments when you're shooting where you think, 'This is, uh, a little excessive. This is a comic book movie. Are we gonna get away with this?'"
"But so far so good. Studio hasn't crushed us with anything. They were here yesterday, they were thrilled, they saw some cut footage and so far so good."
"We did a photo shoot for an entire day of just different, completely insane things that Deadpool is doing and there's a lot more to come. They'll be slowly released."
Meanwhile, in a collated report by Australia Network News, the sequel to the "Deadpool" movie is said to be already being discussed. Apparently, the studio execs feel that fans want more of the cheeky character.
According to Screen Crush, "Deadpool 2" may take over the sequel date for "Fantastic Four" which is slated for Jun. 9, 2017.
It was previously reported that Fox execs are warming up to the idea of a "Deadpool" movie sequel. Moreover, Cable may finally make an appearance in the next film about the anti-hero.
If the "Deadpool" movie would be fortunate enough to get a sequel, director Tim Miller admitted that Cable needed to be in it.
"There aren't really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable," the director told Empire. "If we don't put Cable in 'Deadpool 2' I think we'll be run out of town on a rail."
