
The "One Piece: Burning Blood" release date has been confirmed for next year.
According to Siliconera, Bandai Namco has revealed the "One Piece: Burning Blood" release date in this week's issue of Weekly Jump magazine. The fighting game based on Eiichiro Oda's manga will be available next year.
"Burning Blood" will be shipped in Japan on Apr. 21, 2016 for PS4 and PS Vita. It will cost 7,800 yen (about $64) and 6,800 yen (about $56), respectively, including tax.
The magazine also showed Monkey D. Luffy in his Gear Fourth form. This technique will reportedly be available for demo at Jump Festa 2016.
Gematsu reported that The "One Piece: Burning Blood" release date for North America and Europe will also be some time next year. It will be published for PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One. No specific date has been announced yet.
Bandai Namco has recently released new screenshots for "One Piece: Burning Blood." The images showcased some characters in the fighting game.
Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats Pirates were shown in the screenshots. Roronoa Zoro, Kuzan and Cyborg Franky will be appearing in "One Piece: Burning Blood."
Other non-Straw Hat Pirates were also featured in the screenshots. Naval officer Aokiji, admiral X.Drake are confirmed to be playable characters.
Monkey D. Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit, Trafalgar Law's Op-Op Fruit, Donquixote Doflamingo's String-String Fruit, Portgas D. Ace's and Sabo's Flame-Flame Fruit, among others, have been revealed in the game's trailer.
It was previously reported that Smoker will appear in the game. The White Hunter will join Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Law, Batholomeo, Doflamingo, Crocodile and Eneru as "One Piece: Burning Blood" characters.
It will also have an advanced battle system. The Devil Fruit and Haki are said to have the ability to affect the battles. Players will need to strategize on how to overthrow different Devil Fruits users.
