Selena Gomez was spotted grabbing lunch at Costa Rica's Hard Rock Café, but it seems that rumored lover Niall Horan did not take the trip with the pop star.
The 1D member clearly did not fly to Costa Rica to spend New Year's Eve together with Selena Gomez.
According to Inquisitr, the British boy band member gave the former Disney star his cologne soaked white shirt as a Christmas gift.
"Before Selena and Niall went their separate ways for Christmas, he wrapped up one of his favorite white t-shirts and gave it to Selena to sleep in," a source said.
"She always told him how much she loves the way he smells, so he doused the shirt with his cologne. Niall told her to wear his shirt whenever she misses him. It's a super sweet gift," the source explained further.
Irish Mirror also reported that Selena Gomez's ex, Justin Bieber has been desperately trying to have a man-to-man conversation with Niall Horan.
It seems that, even after being linked with Kourtney Kardashian, the "Love Yourself" singer is not happy about Selena being linked to his pal Niall.
"Justin is still furious with Niall for going behind his back and stealing Selena from him," an insider revealed.
"That's how he sees it. At first he didn't want to contact Niall in case it was just like a short-lived fling, which still is not cool with Justin. But now that Niall and Selena seem to have a serious relationship, Justin wants to see his so-called friend in person and confront him."
Accordingly, Selena Gomez was said to have instructed Niall Horan not to respond to Justin Bieber's attempts to strike a conversation.
While One Direction is on hiatus, Niall tweeted that he is "currently really enjoying doing nothing... just chilling out for a while is good."
Niall Horan's break from One Direction might also open opportunities for him to improve his love life, which possibly includes Selena Gomez.
