Arctic Monkeys released their fifth album ''AM'' in 2013 and their fans are waiting for new materials from the British indie rock band.
It was rumoured in the grapevine that the second album for Arctic Monkey's lead singer, rhythm guitar, lead guitar Alex Turner and Miles Kane will be released sometime in 2016.
The original roster of Arctic Monkeys was assembled in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The original members consisted of Alex Turner (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar), Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals), Jamie Cook (lead guitar, rhythm guitar) and Nick O'Malley (bass, backing vocals). Former band member Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released.
As reported by Evening standard, James Ford has produced several Arctic Monkeys albums plans to act as a drummer in this project. 'The Last Shadow Puppets' which was originally released in 2008 will come with a second album.
Ford added, "I've just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles [Kane]. We did the follow-up album to that, that's the last thing I did." When he was asked, when will the fans get to buy the album, he stated, "It will be out next year sometime."
The debut album of Arctic Monkeys 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's what I'm Not' (2006) was ranked the 30th-greatest debut album of all time by 'Rolling Stone''. However since this is not the entire band's handiwork, the reaction of the audience is yet to be gauged.
As reported by gigwise, it seems that the wait for the second album which was awaited eagerly by the fans will be finally over. Owen Pallett had performed in the 'Last shadow Puppet' debut album. Now Pallett, the Arcade Fire member tewwted, ''The second album is not only was progress on a new record well underway but has just reached "classic status.''
