The "God of War" gaming franchise made its debut way back in 2005 and there is no denying that it changed the landscape of gaming.
Gamers have been so enthralled by this action-packed game. Not only does it bring terrific combat sequences, but incorporating Greek Mythology has probably hooked gamers even more as they see representations of Olympian gods, demigods and titans characters all in one game.
Santa Monica Studio developed this game and was made available to major gaming platforms like the PlayStation and Xbox.
Meanwhile, video game fans have been waiting for a long time to find out if "God of War" will actually have a movie adaptation. The project is being postponed for the last six years, but fans are relentless as they would really like to see a "God of War" movie.
So, if a movie would come to fruition, who should play the protagonist, Kratos?
There have been lots of rumors online with regards to that as the favorite actor to play the role is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. However, he is not the only favorite as Vin diesel could also land the role.
For now, Marcus Dunston and Patrick Melton are tasked as the screenwriters and the original script had been written by David Self.
When Screen Rant interviewed Dunston and Melton about the project, they said, "In the same way that Batman was grounded with Christopher Nolan's rendition, we were attempting to do that with 'Kratos' so that when we meet him like they're doing in this newest game, which is sort of a prequel to the original, we're seeing him before he became the Ghost of Sparta, when he was just a Spartan warrior and he had family and kids."
There are obviously more pieces that need to come together to know where the film adaptation is headed. Stay tuned.
