Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton were reportedly on bad terms as it was purported in the news that the latter was still pushing that Gwen Stefani should come back for "The Voice" season 10.
As told in Hollywood Life citing a report from Star magazine, it was mentioned that the "Dirrty" singer was apparently getting fed up over the "Neon Light" singer's attempt to kick her out of the talent show.
"Blake's not being subtle about campaigning for Gwen to stay on at Christina's expense," an NBC insider claimed. "It's made things very tense on set."
"Blake's gone on this power trip by trying to control the way the show runs and everyone's getting annoyed. Christina thinks he and Gwen are ganging up on her and playing dirty. She feels totally stabbed in the back."
None of the camps involved have addressed the reports but Gossip Cop dispelled the said rumor after talking with a source close to the "Beautiful" singer.
In November, People also reported on the good relationship between Shelton and Aguilera as they had dinner along with the rest of their NBC family.
Even before season 9 of "The Voice" ended, Blake Shelton has been very vocal that he wanted girlfriend Gwen Stefani to stay despite confirmed news that Christina Aguilera was coming back. He even suggested during an Extra TV interview that the No Doubt singer just be turned into a "fifth coach."
Now though, Us Weekly reported that the 39-year old country singer had a new idea on how the "Used To Love You" singer can come back on "The Voice" and that she becomes a mentor instead.
Rumors aside, Christina Aguilera fans won't only have to look forward to her comeback on the talent show but also news of her much anticipated album. Six days ago, she teased on Instagram her return to the studio.
