"Dishonored 2" easily has become 2016's most anticipated video games, especially that it was announced that the game will introduce new features and a new protagonist.
The Guardian, in its report, said that "Dishonored 2," marking the return of Arkane Studio's steampunk stealth adventure, will bring in fresh upgrade system and Emily Kaldwin, a new lead character.
Princess Emily Kaldwin is not new to the game because in 'Dishonored,' she was already existing although she was only a child then, observing main antagonist and his masked bodyguard father, Corvo Attano, in his mission.
But in "Dishonored 2," Emily is all-grown-up and she now has a mission of her own; now, she's fighting corruption alongside her father. Her mission begins from her ousting from her throne and declared an outcast and her empire is looming to fall.
Harvey Smith, "Dishonored" and "Dishonored 2" game designer and writer, also has this to say about Princess Emily Kaldwin: ""She's lived a fairly sheltered life, and now she's being thrust out into the world."
Smith said he wanted Emily to be different from the other female video game characters, who were either "sexy but dangerous" or "cold and aloof."
Moreover, Daily Herald confirmed that the gameplay of "Dishonored 2" will include new supernatural abilities. The introduction of Emily Kaldwin will also dish out more mystical magic, engage in more sword fights and inhabit the shadows near his enemies.
According to Game Rant, "Emily's power will evolve a bit differently than Corvo's, as her Far Reach tendril-shooting skill not only helps her grapple from place to place like Corvo's Blink ability, but it also allows her to stick to walls like Spider-Woman and lets her pull enemies toward her for quicker assassinations."
Game Rant added that the players' selection of characters will also affect the storyline, as each hero or heroine will have a different narrative.
