The New Year 2016 seems to be truly lucky for the former 'Miss India World' Priyanka Chopra.
First she won the people's choice award for her commendable performance in ''Quantico'' and then her period drama ''Bajirao Mastani'' is truly collecting a lot of moola in the box office.
To make the success even sweeter, the 2016 Filmfare awards saw her bagging the award for ''Best Supporting Actor- Female'' for her role as Kashibai in ''Bajirao Mastani''.

In 2004, Priyanka won ''Best Female Debut'' for her first film "Andaz." In 2005, she won ''Best Performance in a Negative Role'' award for her role in ''Aitraaz'' which is inspired by the classic film ''Disclosure'' starring Demi Moore. Her third award came in the ''Best Actress (Jury/Popular)'' category for "Fashion" which was released in 2008.
Priyanka won the ''Critics Award for the Best Actress'' for her performance as a murderer in "7 Khoon Maaf" which was released in 2011. Her fifth Filmfare for ''Bajirao Mastani'' can definitely be declared as a well-deserved one. Her versatility over the years has increased and she not only confined herself to Bollywood, she tried her hands in a US based TV series ''Quantico'' too.
Her music career too has earned her accolades. Her first single, "In My City", debuted in the US on 13 September 2012 in a TV spot for the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football. In July 2013, Chopra released her second single "Exotic" featuring American rapper Pitbull. "Exotic" debuted at number 16 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs and number 11 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart on 27 July 2013 issue.
