"Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis had already revealed that Lydia (Holland Roden) is the key to defeating the Beast of Gevaudan in Season 5 and that she might be the one to save them all.
"Her finding her power is critical to the season," Jeff Davis told Entertainment Weekly. "That's why we decided to make Episodes 15 and 16 a two-part episode around her, which is the breaking-Lydia-out-of-Eichen episode."
At the beginning of Season 5, we have seen Lydia learn hand-to-hand combat and harnessed how to better control her Banshee powers, which makes her able to throw people through her scream.
But how powerful can Lydia get once she masters her Banshee powers?
Hypable, in its report, said that one of the most mysterious abilities on "Teen Wolf" is the power of a banshee. In the case of Lydia being a banshee, her abilities include screaming and finding dead bodies.
According to the report, "a banshee screams to drown out all other sounds around her in order to focus on the voices in her head," which usually tells her where to find dead bodies. For "Teen Wolf" Season 5, Lydia has become more proactive with her powers: throwing people across the room, using her hands to direct her power, including her ability of astral projection.
Meredith has also been training Lydia to make her voice into a bullet, which could be a key to defeating the Beast of Gevaudan, knowing that in the past, it was defeated by a spear.
A report from International Business Times said that Episode 15 titled "Amplification" will have Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and the pack rescue Lydia out of Eichen House. Lydia is in imminent danger and if the pack can't get her out, she will be gone forever.
"If we don't do this, we lose Lydia," Scott says in a promo video. "She's gonna die in there tonight, and she might take a lot of innocent people with her."
