A never-before-seen Pikachu that solve mysterious crime game will finally make its debut in Nintendo 3DS gaming shelves in Japan beginning tomorrow, Feb. 3!
Anime News Network, in its report, said that the upcoming game will feature the most acclaimed Pokémon, who will be tracking suspicious individuals through dark alleys to crack escapades.
With that being said, it seems that Pikachu being a detective and battling several crimes didn't give fans a chill any longer, as what startled them is the character's deep, masculine voice contrasted to its cheerful squeaks of Pikachu's past renditions.
Vast majority of the fans then were somewhat frustrated and disappointed, as they feel that Pikachu's voice is not quite right because it makes him sound like a hardened detective, considering on what will Pikachu sound like when he say "Pika!."
Despite the fact that Nintendo hasn't made it clear whether it intends to make the new "Detective Pikachu" game - "Great Detective Pikachu: The Birth of a New Duo" - available in U.S. at any point, that hasn't halted eager Pokemon fans from coming up with a few ideas that could improve the Pikachu's voice.
As a result, Pokemon fans came up with an online petition to get Danny DeVito to voice the English version of Detective Pikachu instead.
"There are a number of us that feel as though Danny DeVito would be a prime fit for the voice acting role of the Detective Pikachu. We want to make this happen," as written in the same online petition website.
As of this article's writing, the petition now have 38,998 supporters, only a bit 11,002 away before reaching its 50,000 goal.
Nonetheless, the story of newly Detective Pikachu game dubbed "Great Detective Pikachu: The Birth of a New Duo" is set in Lime City, where people and Pokémon exist together.
The game feature a boy named Tim Goodman, who recently arrives in his town with a certain goal, Polygon reported, the young boy then accidently meet Pikachu by chance at the city. Thus, a new epic adventures apparently begins.
