Emilia Clarke was "almost killed" in filming for "Game of Thrones" season 6.
The Independent reported that the "Terminator" star revealed that shooting for "GoT" season 6 "legitimately almost killed" the show's cast and crew. She will be returning as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, in the upcoming season.
Although "Game of Thrones" season 6's story is being tightly kept confidential, the actors have been teasing fans about what to expect.
"Legitimately, this season almost killed us. Like, it is epic, it is huge, it's insane, it's silly," Emilia Clarke told E! News.
"Game of Thrones" season 6 cast Maisie Williams revealed how painful it was to wear her "huge" and "thick" blind contacts for the show. "Pretending to be blind is much easier when you actually can't see anything," she told Vulture.
"So I did actually love them. For close-ups and stuff it was great, but for wide shots I was like, 'Can we take them out? Is that okay?'"
Sophie Turner, who is set to appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse," also shared to EW about how "Game of Thrones" season 6 will be huge for Sansa Stark.
"I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa," she admitted.
"It's probably her best season yet. It's her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good."
Sansa's fate in last season's finale was a bit unclear but Turner teased that fans will be "finally getting that storyline that you've been craving for the past five seasons."
"It was amazing because the past five seasons, it feels like it's been building up and up to that," she added. "You can only suffer so much before she finally gets her, the respect that she deserves."
