Nina Dobrev reportedly regrets the time she spent in "The Vampire Diaries" as Elena Gilbert.
According to Kpopstarz, Dobrev now regrets her time with "TVD." Moreover, she is said to be still upset with her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder.
"Nina has tried to stay strong watching Ian and Nikki flaunt their relationship in her face, then witnessed them rush to the altar," an insider said.
"And now she's at the point of regretting her time on 'The Vampire Diaries' completely. Nina knows that if she had never done the show, she wouldn't have fallen in love with Ian in the first place."
Showrunner Julie Plec revealed to Variety that she would welcome Nina Dobrev if ever she wants to return.
"On an emotional level, it's sad because she's Nina and she was Elena and we all love her and loved that character, but on a creative level, it's been refreshing in ways that I cannot even explain," she told the publication.
"The writers, we're just enjoying the hell out of it. Yes, I miss her deeply and would take her back in an instant if she called and said, 'Hey, can I come back and play?' But purely from a creative point of view, it's been a real new infusion of creative fun."
Movie News Guide added that Dobrev "seems to be too happy to spend her time away from 'TVD' and welcome new projects."
Speaking of the "Final Girls" star's other projects, Nina Dobrev will be appearing on "Lip Sync Battle" along with former NFL football player Tim Tebow.
Mail Online reported that the former "TVD" star put on a sultry performance of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" in a sneak peek for the show. She even wrapped her legs around her opponent's leg.
"Lip Sync Battle" is aired every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on Spike. It's hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.
