The rumored exit of Sylvester Stallone in the "Expendables" franchise so he could pursue a "Creed" sequel has brought out new names tagged to one of the most anticipated movie sequels, "Expendables 4," including Pierce Brosnan and Jack Nicholson.
In its report, Movie News Guide said that former "James Bond" star Pierce Brosnan has already signed up for "Expendables 4" and the actor has already joined the production of the fourth installment of the franchise.
It was previously reported that Pierce Brosnan has expressed how happy he was to be part of "Expendables 4" and that he is particularly looking forward to working with pro wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Movie News Guide added in its report that there are rumors that Jack Nicholson will be the newest member of the franchise and will become the film's antagonist.
In a previous interview with IGN last year, Sylvester Stallone had already said that if The Rock will not accept the villain role, "A Few Good Men" actor Jack Nicholson will.
"I was going to go [call] up Jack Nicholson and we just got there a little too late, because actually he had said he might be interested in it [antagonist role]," Stallone said (via The Inquisitr).
"So there are still interesting avenues out there. I want to get, if possible, the most unique actors from the past and just put 'em out there once and for all, you know?" he added.
Meanwhile, while there were reports that Terry Crews will be reprising his role as Hale Caesar for "Expendables 4," the actor recently said in an interview that he will only do the sequel if Sylvester Stallone is also on it.
"He's got a lot more choices now, and my thing is, really, whether he wants to do it or not," Crews told Collider. "Because if he wants to do it, I'm in! Like, there's no stopping me! But it's a matter of... it's really up to Sly, because this is his baby, his creation, and if he wants to do another one, I'm in!"
