Sophie Jones already has five children, but that doesn't really stop her from remembering fondly-and regrettably-the two children she lost five years apart. One, Frankie, died due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2006. Later, in 2011, she gave birth to Korey, who was stillborn.

While it's so easy to blame it on these hurtful medical issues, Sophie is pointing a finger to herself. She believes that her many years of smoking has contributed to the demise of her two lovely children.

Sophie is currently pregnant with her sixth child, and she's making sure she never touches one cigarette. However, in her previous pregnancies, she chain-smoked, lighting 25 cigarettes on the average.

The 31-year-old mom was told that the stillbirth was likely due to placenta damage, but Sophie thought this was actually due to the effects of smoking on the placenta.

She said she didn't know any better. Back then, she didn't understand or know the risks of smoking while being pregnant. She only believed that it would only cause a smaller baby. Now she's suffering from intense heartache and immense guilt over the two deaths of her children, more so that all she wanted was a large family. It should be noted that she did cut back on her smoking when she became pregnant, but as she lamented, it seemed not enough to save her children. Thus, when she learned she's pregnant again, she chose to quit and this time for good.

She's receiving a lot of support from Stop Smoking Service in Northumberland who provided her with every information she needed about the effects of smoking like deprivation of oxygen to the unborn baby.

Quitting has also done her own body some good. Four months after she said goodbye to her habit, she noticed a significant change in her breathing as she no longer suffered from breathlessness. She's also saved some money, which she's planning to keep for her baby.
