The premise of a man being "eaten alive" by a green anaconda is definitely creepy and powerful that it attracted more than 4 million viewers. However, right after the airing, the audience took to Twitter to air their disappointment.

Discovery Channel's Eaten Alive has received a lot of buzz over the last few months because of a naturalist's decision to serve himself as a meal to an anaconda in the Amazon River. Paul Rosolie is bent on getting into the skin of the snake-literally-while wearing a special suit that was supposed to hopefully prevent himself from becoming a real meal.

Despite the strong opposition from other conservationists, who believed the stunt was a cruel act to the giant snakes, the network still aired it on Monday night.

However, the audience ended up feeling disappointed for one reason: it didn't really deliver. In other words, Rosolie wasn't eaten alive.

But what happened? After many months of tracking a green anaconda-Rosolie mentioned that he was once dragged by one about 6 years ago-he and his team found one, a she, that's perfect for his goal of being eaten.

Thus, donning on a suit that's made from carbon fiber and a durable mask as well as drenched in pig's blood, he approached the snake slowly on all fours, pretending like a boar.

True enough, the snake took a bite to his head. He then positioned himself to be eaten. But the snake didn't take the stunt's bite (pun intended). Rather, it coiled its long and large body around Rosolie, pinning him down. It started to constrict harder until he called it off before the snake could break his bones, particularly the arms.

Aside from not really staying true to its claims, some have also commented how the activity seems to be against its objective, which is to raise funds for the animals' conservation as it only elicited more fear.
