This is what the Canadian pop rock singer revealed in her Twitter account following her controversial absence from the music scene for three months since September.
Her health issue surfaced when the singer turned to Twitter to explain her absence to her fans through her @AvrilMusicChart account on December 7. She added that she was disappointed for not being around and being absent on many occasions.
In her succeeding tweet, she said that she is not feeling well and asks for prayers from her fans. And in her last tweet, she says she misses her fans. Until now, she has not revealed her health condition and how serious it is.
Following her revelation, fans started a #Pray4Avril hashtag on Sunday. Because her conditions remained undisclosed and private, many are wondering about her condition.
During a direct exchange of messages with a fan in Twitter, Lavigne said she is not feeling well and she is having some health issues. Meanwhile, a representative for Lavigne confirmed to Billboard that the conversation is true and denied rumors that the singer is pregnant.
The singer tweeted a simple "Thank you" after support from her fans flooded the social media site.
In related news, the spreading rumor about her health condition was an opportunity for media outlets to speculate break up rumors between Lavigne and her husband Chad Kroeger. Before the health issue surfaced, rumors swirled that the singer's relationship with Kroeger is on the rocks. The two married last July 2013.
Rumors were speculated because she was seen celebrating her 30th birthday alone in Las Vegas. Yet because of her current health conditions, fans all over the world are worried. "I am not feeling well, I am having health issues. So keep me in your prayers," the singer tweeted.
