Chris Hemsworth workout seems to include getting slammed by a massive CGI whale. Warner Bros. has just officially released the "Thor" actor's trailer for the action thriller, "In the Heart of the Sea," which is directed by known director Ron Howard.

Chris Hemsworth's latest movie is actually based on the 2000 biographical book, with the same title, that was written by Nathaniel Philbrick. It tells about the real-life events when the whale ship Essex sunk down in the Pacific Ocean back in 1820.

The amazingly buff actor plays the role of first mate Owen Chase. He will be featured alongside Benjamin Walker, who plays the role of Captain George Pollard, Jr., Cillian Murphy, who plays the role of second mate Matthew Joy, and Tom Holland, who plays the role of cabin boy Thomas Nickerson.

Taking a closer look at the recently released trailer, it certainly looks like Chris Hemsworth, especially his movie character, is not afraid of anything at all. He fearlessly took on an 85-foot whale, which was out on a vengeance, with only a single spear in his hand.

He was standing at the stern of the ship, and the Sexiest Man Alive was nearly unrecognizable in the face of the hardened seafarer with a very unruly beard. His shaggy hair was obviously doused in sea water and, of course, his signature rippling biceps were on full display.

"In the Heart of the Sea" has already been scheduled to premiere on the big screens by March 13th of next year. This will be Chris Hemsworth's reunion with the famous "Rush" director and Academy Award winner Howard.

The trailer shows that the 31-year-old Australian actor is a force to be reckoned with in this Moby Dick-themed blockbuster of epic proportions. "In the Heart of the Sea" is a visual masterpiece that has been imbued with an abundance of thundering effects, heroic battles, and a lot of seafarers being thrown overboard.
