Boy In Viral Spiderman Video Where Dad Surprises Him On His Birthday, Dies On Christmas Eve At Age 5

Cancer claims the life of a boy who became popular after his father surprised him on his birthday dressed as his favorite comic book character, Spider man. Jayden Wilson, five years old, from Basngstoke, Hampshire, died peacefully beside his family on Christmas Eve in his sleep.

It was on September 2013 that Jayden was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and was given as much as one year to live. That is why his family did everything to make his last year memorable for him. The tumor was discovered by doctors when Jayden went for a checkup after an accidental fall.

On his 5th birthday, his father dressed as Spider man and jumped off their roof into the front door as a stunned Jayden was surprised that his dream of meeting Spiderman came true. The viral video was uploaded in Youtube and garnered over 9 million views.

Jayden's father, Mike Wilson, said his son died peacefully in his bed on Christmas Eve. In the Facebook page for Jayden entitled, "Hope For Jayden", he posted, "Jayden fought an amazing battle. By far he was the most bravest person we know."

"But unfortunately late on Christmas Eve, Jayden Died peacefully in his sleep, warm in his bed. He looked so relaxed with a very subtle grin on his face," Mike added.

The family left the hospital with Jayden on Wednesday to spend Christmas at their home but sadly, he died just hours later.

The heartwarming story of the terminally ill boy caught the hearts of millions of people worldwide. It went viral in social media sites stirring the emotions of viewers. In the post, the family added, ""Jayden had such a happy life. What an incredible 5 years. We have told Ella this morning, who was deeply upset.

"We went to the local black dam ponds to feed the ducks, and told her there as a family. Ella understands that he's now gone up with Grandad Wilson and his favourite cat Puss Puss, where he can talk again, run again and play just like he used to."

"Jayden to us, is the most inspiring person ever, fighting this Tumor with all his might. We now remember Jayden as that cheeky little chappy, always smiling, playing with his favourite toys, on his scooter, enjoying school, and playing with his friends x will never forget this little Spartan Warrior."
