Anxious first-time parents have trouble keeping up with all the demands of parenthood and it is not any easier finding ways to monitor their baby's activities and vital information. Fortunately the innovators at Sproutling, a baby-oriented company, developed a new wearable baby monitor that is able to measure the "well being insights" of each child, helping parents to predict sleep patterns, assess room conditions, and even keep up with their baby's moods.

The Sproutling Baby Monitor is the technological evolution of the standalone baby monitors that looked like big walkie-talkies. These modern versions come in a streamlined design that is a wearable ankle band. There are actually three components that complete this advanced monitoring system-the wearable band, charger, and mobile application.   The band, which goes comfortably around the baby's ankle, is fitted with a smart sensor that measures the child's heart rate, motions, sleeping positions, and even his skin temperature. It comes in three sizes to conveniently fit the baby as he grows. The charger comes as a separate accessory that can wirelessly charge the band when needed and can power up the band as soon as it is dropped in. Additionally, the state-of-the-art charger can monitor baby's room environment, checking its temperature, humidity, light, and sound, to help parents create optimal sleeping conditions. All the information gathered by these two devices will be communicated, real time, to the parents via the mobile app. With this breakthrough technology, parents will be able to know whether their child is sound asleep or wide awake, whether he has rolled over or hasn't changed sleeping positions, whether there are any changes with his body temperature and heart rate, or even if the rooms is too hot, too cold, too noisy, or too bright. As sleeping patterns are established, the app can let parents know even when their child is about to wake up so they know how to spend and allocate their time. And because it can also keep trac of baby's moods, it can tell parents whether the child is fussy, angry, or calm, even before they step into the room.
